Have you ever watched a fish and wondered if they hoped for something else? Within the confines of the spherical atmosphere, circling the same plants and scenery day after day. I try to go back to something I read when I was younger. A fish only has a 15 second memory. Not sure if this is entirely true, but I kind of hope it is for them.
A typical fish is oblivious of you outside until it comes to the ever so exciting feeding time. Yet I have come upon a fish that my son likes to call "Fish....Man". Its rare that I feel like a fish of his size makes me think he is looking at me, following my every move in the bathroom. Almost kind of weird. Kind of like being in front of a dog, many of them are so human like. So I felt bad, the fish (he is a beta by the way) was acting hysterical last night. I had never actually seen the "japanese fighting fish" come out of one. Unfortunately I may have moved him too close to my mirrored kleenex box cover. When they are upset they get crazy beautiful like he's saying check out my vibrant colors...(mesmerizing and alluring)..now I'm going to kick your ass!!! He swam circles around the bowl, moving his body like a serpent. I swear he was going to jump out of the bowl. Did you kow that their gills get fire red when they are pissed? Neither did I.
